Junior Program
Mission Statement
Our intent is to provide a fun, safe learning environment for children interested in golf, regardless of financial ability. Our program inspires children to enjoy this great game, while they learn social skills and values such as patience, courtesy, honesty and fairness.The First Tee of Contra Costa’s Life/Golf Skills Experience is a youth development program for boys and girls ages 5-18. Kids learn about golf and the life skills and values inherent to the game. Participants who are in grades 2nd -12th start at the PLAYer level and then progress through Par, Birdie, and Eagle levels. Target classes are available to participants in grades K-1 st . Eagle and Birdie level participants are encouraged to coach the Target, PLAYer and Par level classes. Class sizes are limited; sign up early to secure your spot in class.
First Tee Contra Costa Youth Program
The First Tee at Diablo Creek Golf Course is a year-round youth program established to teach life skills and instill core values through the game of golf for boys and girls 7 through 18 years old. Program consists of golf skills, games and challenges, life skills education, golf etiquette, and green fee discounts through the NCGA “Youth on Course” program at Diablo Creek Golf Course.

The East Bay Golf Foundation is a youth charity program at Diablo Creek Golf Course. Diablo Creek Golf Course has been approved to be the site for The First Tee of Contra Costa which is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation. Read about the goals and objectives.
